James...call # 2

Again a call from James and equally as literal as the first. This time: "My hair is too high. I am a big boy. I am getting a haircut." All I could think of when he said "high" was the guy in the circus w/ the really big hair. James didn't say too long..he said too high!!!!The conversation was a long one because it is really like a BBC delay when you ask him something and then finally get the answer.i love you James..We will see you soon!!!

Not just cell phones

The very pretty Pearl Vodka truck in front of me at a light was distracting...it had photos, which flavor got awards, recipes, the blueberry and pomegranite sounded good... all this on the back and side of a truck.Good thing the light was red so I could read it all!

Dress-up!

Jennie didn't mind costumes and the chance to have more blonde hair. Tyler was more interested in the Halloween button to add to his collection!

A business call

Today James wanted to call me.This is rare. He is very serious and very literal on the phone. You ask about the weather and he answers "cold, a little windy, and a little rainy." I ask how he is.The answer "I am good. " I say we'll see you for Halloween. He tells me "I am am going to be a bat." .... the straight facts....no fooling around. I said "What's new?" He was silent,then said "my helicopter book" .He then left me hanging while he went to get the musical book which he played for me over the phone. No talking,just song after song after song. I wondered if Amy knew he had called.I asked "is Mom there?"..the answer "yes". Finally she came on and said he wanted to call, but she forgot once Jared came home. I ended with "I love you James and heard in return, a serious and emphatic "I love you,too!" Thanks for the call James. You made my day!!

They tried, but he didn't make it. Dennis the manatee died on the trip to FL.

The manatee is headed home!

This morning in Dennis the manatee was lifted out of the water in a boat sling. Sea World and IFAW were there. We saw the manatee as it was being cared for ...w/ fluids being given as it was being kept cool. He's headed home to FL in this Penske truck tonight with one person in back and 2 up front w/ all 3 taking their turn at driving throughout the night.The IFAW person we spoke with also told us it will be in quarrantined and then in rehab for as long as he needs..probably months. Hope you get back ok Mr. Manatee!

Their fans need some Tropicana!

Tampa Bay fans at Tropicana Field need to raise their blood sugar....what a boring crowd!(must be that they are stuck in a snow globe without the snow!)

He needs to get home!

There is a manatee that has seen repeatedly in Dennis.He may have help getting back to FL The waters are getting too cold for him here.

Deals n' Seals

On my way back from getting some deals at Ocean State Job Lot, I stopped by Chatham Fish Pier just in time to see some seals showing off for the people on the pier!

That first one is a big one... It seems Dad, with Rocky in his arms half-asleep at 11:30 p.m., forgot that the trench was dug to put in the gas line to the barn...well Rocky was ok, but Dad went 2 1/2 ft. down! one leg in,one leg out, sand in his ears and all over his glasses, and a sore shoulder today! He said he needs to see Jared!

A Plus Plus passengers!

Tyler and Jennie were great in the car all the way to Maine and back! For some reason bulletin board pumpkin cut-outs kept Jennie amused. Tyler read his books when not napping!

Ty and Jennie

Tyler was very studious at the library and loved the Thomas book he checked out....Jennie paid attention in class...Jennie also realized toes are good for teething..
