Our lost and found department has located your wallet...only because I was putting the oil change paperwork in the glove compartment. At least you could have left a little cash in there for me!

It's all in a name.....

We met a nice couple the other day,yup you guessed it, their names are George and Martha. As we walked away I am thinking George and Martha -hippos in the James Marshall stories and Dad's thinking " that's easy like George and Martha Washington." Either way , we should remember their names. Just funny I thought of the hippos before the 1st president for my association!!

Their Plan B

Although Tyler doesn't look that concerned, he and Jennie "disliked" their ride. So looks like Kelly is going to be driven everywhere, right Kel?! Ty and Jennie have alternate plans: Tyler:"Pep's asleep,let's take this baby for a ride!" Jennie: "I've got the brake,you roll down and then start 'er up!"*
* No children were left unsupervised during this time. Adults were awake and present:)

Anyone else had it with the nightly news?

Between the scary swine flu reports and frightening photo op plane chase over Manhattan, I'll opt for one of the other stories and say goodbye Pontiac. I loved those Firebirds we had! I remember trading in the 73 maroon Firebird Esprit for an 82 Escort wagon of all things. Thanks alot kids..all because it was too hard to get your carseats in and out. Well, maybe only Amy..as I recall when you were 3 Katy, you could just use a seatbelt! Imagine!

One man's tranquil fountain....

is another man's SPLASHFEST!! Tyler especially loves this new addition to his great aunt and uncle's yard.

I'll need to work on bladder control because......

I almost peed my pants when the local ice cream place that just reopened used their too low placed loud speaker to call the people up for their orders.

It is just barely above your head...most people just don't see it. They call your name EVEN if you are standing right there.

You see everyone rubbing their ears and jumping. I just may have to get an ice cream every day just for this form of entertainment!

I wanted a bike trailer....

not a rickshaw. My hopes for a nice bike ride for the kids fell through when the used,"excellent condition" bike trailer we called about was missing a major piece...like the connector to the bike! I had imagined the seller heading to the casino with our cash, but she has it waiting for us.

Rocks, sand....

and a wave to the fishermen and having them wave back...Ty and Jennie thought that was pretty neat!

Happy Birthday Dad!

If you were still with us, you'd be 90 today!! You left us way too soon....33 years ago...and we still miss you everyday! Imagine that these were the styles and cars that were around when you were born! How you'd get such a kick out of your grandkids and great-grandkids you never met. I often wonder what you'd think of all our technology now...all I know is that you'd have a sweet tv and remote!! (and you'd still be watching your westerns, but something tells me you'd like shows like 24,too!)

James, wear your great-grandpa's name proudly. I like to think he gave you those bouncy curls and great singing voice:))

Happy Birthday Arthur!

This weekend the bat boy for the Red Sox Yankees game practice will be 100 year old Arthur Gidden from CT. He was a bat boy for the team in 1922 and 1923 at age 12 (when the team known as the Boston Braves looked pretty much like this!)! His jersey says Big Pappy 100!

It's my party (that didn't happen)....

and I'll cry if I want to.. But Jennie, you were a good sport even when mom had to cancel your party due to the whole houseful of colds and yuckiness! Feel better soon!! xo

What happened?

There he was...enjoying the good life and all the attention when 1 year ago today...Jennie came along! Tyler..maybe there have been a couple of bucket head days, but you and Jennie are a team together and you are so cute to watch! How you teach her things, how she tries to steal your food....how you try to give her the food you don't want to try...Happy Birthday Jennie!!! We love you!!!
