Extreme Winter Sports on "Olde Cape Cod"

When you take your trash to the transfer station and do your recycling you just may find a new sport. IRONINGBOARDING in the metal recycling pile!*

With old paint cans for balance, I am ready to find a little hill....somewhere:)
*( it's free...... and priceless was the look on a guy's face who was ready to peruse the pile. I may have scared him off:)

It was really chilly,

but I needed to see what the snow looked like in my favorite places.
And I was able to say hi to friends along the way. Why I rolled my window down and said "Hi turkeys", I'll never know. They realllly take their time crossing and then waited their turn to go up the snowbank. It was cute to see.
March of the Penguins...or in this case Strut of the Turkeys.

Ty's favorite lighthouse and mine,too!

Yay for the Snowblower!

and its operator! ( that is not me!)
I cleared the path and took pictures and then came in like an old, cold dog.

Winter has arrived!

Ready or not,Happy Winter!

Well, they said we'd get a blizzard... and they aren't offically calling it one but, yes we got the almost 60 mph winds, drifting snow, and it is beginning to look alot like winter!
liar! maybe 12" and 15" in spots due to drifitng.....but not this much!

Tyler and Jennie yesterday.

Today...what a difference 24 hrs. makes!

Christmas through the eyes of children.....

Jennie loves to look at the little inside tree(she does, but she is actually intently watching her favorite tv show:)
festive girl

all that glitters

could be a hat?

Now that's a pear! (and that's about 1/6th of the pear!)

the golden pear:)

That pear looks as big as Jennie's head. Can a box of pears make you teary-eyed? Yes, when they are sent from the family of a friend who has suffered a stroke. Her yearly gift has always been the beautiful box of pears sent in the mail and when it was delivered yesterday....well, let's just say I was glad the kids were here:)

Jennie is a bookworm!

Ty models his new robot shirt:)

Just opened a new hamper which I use for recycling...well,Ty had it on it's side, climbed right in and he wanted me to carry him and swing him around:)

the 83 pc. set of play food bought me a few minutes...well worth it!
