Rocky and Jerry

I have so many Rocky pictures, but this one probably shows it best. Wikipedia descibes the Cairn terrier as "intelligent,lively,strong, and loyal." And that's how we will remember him. Rocky was always a little dog with a big attitude who could stare you down for your turkey sandwich or dish of ice cream.We'll miss you old pal. xo

A Sad Day

Today was Rocky's last day. We just returned from the vet. It all seems so surreal. It was time for him to go. We loved that little dog so much. 16 1/2 years old. He was born at Rock Harbor on the Cape and this is the sunset we saw tonight as we drove by there on the way home. Thank you Rocky for all the love you gave to us. We will miss you.

are stronger than they appear. Way back in September, in a moment of "Why not?", I signed up for an exercise class. As it turned out,it was already full so my name was put on the list for the winter session. Well, I almost forgot about it. I saw some ladies waiting in their winter coats,they looked like the type that would move their carts at slow speed at Stop and Shop. Turns out that this is the class of regulars who sign up time after time again. More like the lady in purple ,but disguised in a t-shirt and stretch pants. There's Jan, who was lifting and leg-pressing so much that I had to move the pin way up to the "wimpy" setting after her turn. Sam, who when told to rest, kept going shouting out "If I stop, I won't start up again." Everyone was very nice,saying things like"you'll catch on." The teacher,who reminded me of Jack Lalane...well he keeps a chalkboard going and rotates the names and shouts out your next station. Boy, do you have to pay attention. Flashbacks to Jazzercise I'd go to over 25 yrs. ago..I'd make up my own routine. As I left, I told "Jack" I needed to babysit on Thursday and wouldn't be there for the 2nd class...didn't want him to think I quit so soon. What have I gotten myself into?!!! But if you need any furniture moved or your car lifted off the ground,I know some people you can call!!

It comes w/ pillow shams and bedskirt. If I paid the full amount, I would expect furniture,too! Well,the sale price was 79.99 minus 50% off . Rang up as 39.99, had a $15. coupon off $50. purchase so I bought 2 towels with the orig. price of 18.each. They came to $10. for 2 when the coupon was factored in. My total was 39.87. 11.01 back which I used towards some boots w/ a orig. price of 59. on sale for 34.99 15% addit. discount made those 29.74. Used my 11.01 from the gift card and only had to pay 18.73 for them. Thanks Cheryl!!!! How was that?!!

Guess I am in the running for "Dump Diva" or "Landfill Lass". We are cleaning the basement and as we were dropping off the metal recycling,I spotted a freshly-placed sewing machine like Amy's. (I now have it in the truck.) But I couldn't resist a moment with the chair and water heater foot rest. No, those are not in the truck!

The 55 Packard Clipper

Here's a blast from our past for you Cheryl. A 55 Packard was our family car when we were VERY little. Seat belts? ha!!! We would take turns rolling off the back "shelf" as Dad put on the brakes!Still miss you Dad,always have,always will, and it's hard to believe you've been gone for 33 years. xo
